Join our engineer in the cab of the locomotive for a unique and memorable experience witnessing the railroad from the Engineer's perspective.

See the Nickel Plate Express from a whole new perspective. Each excursion offers the opportunity for 2 spaces for guests to ride in the cab. Cab riders should arrive at least 30-minutes before the excursion to go over a brief safety talk, sign the waiver and get ready to go. This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. A great present for Father’s Day, Christmas or a Birthday!

Cab Ride (14+): Ride in the cab for a full-length Nickel Plate Express excursion. See the behind-the-scenes view! Prices are per person.

  • $44: 30-minute round-trip ride (caboose rides). Includes picture in the engineer seat and picture outside the engine.

  • $65: 65-minute round-trip ride. Includes picture in the engineer seat and picture outside the engine.

  • $79: 90-minute round-trip ride. Includes picture in the engineer seat and picture outside the engine.

*Each trip has 2 engines. One-way the cab ride will be driving the train and one-way you will be spotting the train
